Hi, I'm Adam Halon.
I'm a senior graphic designer and illustrator from Chicago. I translate complex ideas into beautifully designed, engaging communications solutions. Through my range of full-time positions and freelance projects, I have experience designing for a diverse array of organizations in commercial, education, non-profit, hospitality, healthcare and transportation industries.
Aside from teaching design, advocating for design and working in design, I spend a lot of time drawing, painting, photographing, and playing guitar badly. Iām fascinated by mechanical things and spend a lot of time repeatedly fixing, then breaking a 1969 Z28 and 1993 Z28.
Raised in a garage, next to railroad tracks, I take a lot of my inspiration from, muscle cars and trains. The bold letters, logos, stripes and colors really made an impression on me as a kid. I knew what those logos stood for before I could read and would draw them before I knew anything about design or branding.
Additionally, I'm pretty food motivated and rely on witty banter to keep me going. Also, dogs understand me, even when I talk to them in sentence form.
I'm tired of saying "I'm" now, so if you'd like to chat, reach out.
Adam
